strawberry banana ice cream bowl

Ice cream for breakfast? Nope, I'm not kidding.
This breakfast bowl is the reason I wake up in the morning. 3 days in a row? nah, never gets old ;)

strawberry banana ice cream breakfast bowl

ingredients
80g frozen strawberries
150g frozen banana
water (to blend)
10g walnuts
10g granola of choice (I love GoRaw original buckwheat granola)
5 rainier cherries, sliced in half
10g raisins
1-2 Tb almond butter

How?
1. blend together the first three ingredients until a thick, gorgeous, creamy ice cream is made (I used my vitamix, and this took me about 10 seconds. I used under 1/2 cup of water to make the ice cream as thick as possible)
2. put the ice cream in a bowl and place in freezer while you put everything else together.
3. add the walnuts, granola, and raisins together and mix.
4. take the bowl out of the freezer, top with granola/nut/raisin mix, add sliced cherries, and drizzle the melted almond butter on top.
5. EAT!

This obviously isn't enough for breakfast- but add some toast and almond butter right along side and you will be in breakfast bliss.

Random porridge

Good morning!

To make a very quick and easy breakfast, I usually just prepare my overnight oats as usual (since I have porridge every morning!) and simply decide what to add in when I wake up. However, on the rare occasion that I'm not throwing in chocolate or cinnamon, I will add in whatever seems to be lying around. My choices this morning were strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, almonds, pistachios, puffed cereals, dried mango, and a granny smith apple! Everything I love (except chocolate!) in one large and filling bowl of porridge :) It is quite colorful, and healthy too!

chocolat chaud

Good morning!

Lately, i've been having hot chocolat everyday. Yes, every single day.
However, when you think of hot chocolat, you think of it as an indulgent dessert that is high in sugar and fat, and frankly only comes around a few times in a year. Am I right?
Well, I'm going to save you from all of your hot chocolat deprivation, because I conjured a recipe that I have been using for months now that is vegan, sugarless, and of course, completely guiltless!
You can have several cups of this hot chocolate a day, because not only is it high in calcium and antioxidants, it is a mere 45 calories for a huge serving! That means that you can add marshmallows, whipped cream, chocolate sauce... Or you can have it plain, because i must say, this is definitely a flavorful and rich hot chocolate :)
I have one in the morning, and another in the afternoon (oh, and sometimes after dinner! haha)

healthy chocolate bars?!

Hello there!

This is my absolute favorite snack- attune probiotic chocolate bars.
And the best part?
they're good for you!
Now, before you cringe and huff at the thought of a healthy chocolate bar, thinking it would taste like cardboard and the texture of a chewy bar, do not be discouraged. These are truly delicious, and I would actually choose an attune bar over a Hershey's chocolate any day- even in a blind taste test.
Here's what attune has to say about these lovely little chocolate-y bundles of goodness:
A truly healthy pleasure of smooth, antioxidant-rich dark chocolate with 68% cocoa content. Delicious, dairy-free, probiotic chocolate.

After my first bite, I was hooked. instantly. Now, whenever I run out, it's like an apocalypse. Or worse. Probably worse, actually.

My favorite is the dark chocolate (I like my chocolate so dark, that I usually buy the 100% baking bars at the store, and cacao nibs are good too!)
They also have milk chocolate, and mint. I've had the mint, and I must say that's it's just as delicious as the dark because they add some rice crisps to give the bar a little bit of a crunch. I've never had the milk before, so if you do, tell me how it is!

Anyways, I recently just received my order of attune bars, and have been having one a day ever since (hey, it's recommended!)

Sweet Apple Porridge

Good morning and Happy Saturday!

Welcome to La Cuisine en Porcelaine! For my first post, I'm going to show you how to make the perfect sweet apple-cinnamon porridge. This recipe can be sugar free, and even vegan (if you decide not to use the honey), however it tastes as if it came straight out of the oven as an apple pie. You certainly cannot go wrong with apple pie porridge. For a more substantial breakfast, add some almonds, raisins, or a little bit of melted butter on top to truly make it taste like apple pie. After making this, I think I will be craving it all week! It's very simple, and easy to make, however, I suggest cooking the oats the night before with 1.5 cups of liquid, so that the oats are puffy and yield more volume. Even so, you can skip the first step and cook them whichever way you like :)

Enjoy! Bon Appétit!
